Istanbul eats that make you come back again: Karakoy Restaurant

There are few things that could make me (and I guess most of us) happier than sharing good food with good company. And being a foodie the first thing I explore in a city is restaurants, cafes and bars around the town, but I am not talking about touristic traps as you would know me by now. Often when I am asked for advice on where to eat in Istanbul, I share my favorites, the ones never fail. And as Michelin Guide is now covering Istanbul, I see most of these are having their stamp of approval from “le inspectors”

To start with a few of them:

Karakoy Lokantasi (Karakoy Restaurant): Just this week, I went again and oh mi god…Everything we ate was finger lickingly good. As many of you would be asking for tips on what to choose, here are a few ones that you should order… lamb liver, courgette frittata, grilled octopus, Aegean greens, topik (an Armenian mezze you would only find in a few spots) and their wine selection is very good. Prices are reasonable. And mood is bustling, airy, chic and warm. Did I mention I love this place? 🙂

And something I also applaud is that interiors are very nice, very modern but you still feel authenticity. And location is Karakoy so you can head out to a few bars after your dinner or just gaze amazing Bosphorus views in a few steps.

Cool factor: Here the cool factor is the food factor.
